Colin Hewson

I’ve spent more than 20 years in senior roles within local government and in leisure management. Part of my work has been to develop positive approaches to health and safety management and I have been a consultant and advisor to a diverse range of industries. I have also delivered quality programmes within the leisure industry and was proud to have one such programme nominated as the most improved leisure centre in the UK.

Specialist subjects: Colin writes about patient safety, the NHS and reducing preventable harm. Colin led our recent submission to the Patient Safety Awards, which resulted in short listing as a finalist in the Patient Safety in Acute Care category.
